I love sushi, but lets be honest how many of us have actually perfected the art of rolling up some sushi?! This sushi bowl is super easy, fast, and cheap way to enjoy some sushi on a night in. The ingredients are not outlandish either! And you can change it up to whatever you like on your sushi... Here is what I used.
You will also need rice, rice vinegar (not super duper important but nice to have), salmon, shrimp, cucumber, carrots, and avocado.
First things first; put a pot of water on to boil for your rice. Then put your salmon in the oven and cook it like you normally would. I seasoned mine with pepper, lemon juice, and soy sauce.
While things are brewing start chopping up your veggies!
After chop chop choppin', start working on your Sriracha Sauce. It really depends on how much of this stuff you want in your bowl. I would start out with three tablespoons of mayo, one tablespoon of honey, and one tablespoon of sriracha (1/2 tablespoon if you aren't a fan of spicy). Always start out with less spice, because you can always add more!
After your rice has cooked spread it out on a plate and add in a few sprinkles of chia seeds. They are great for you and you won't even tasted them! Let the rice cool off.
Fry up your shrimpys real fast. It should only take about 5 minutes, if that... They start out a weird grey color and will turn into a pretty pink when they are cooked. After they are cooked, cut them up into chunks and let them cool.
Check on your salmon and also break it into chunks!
When everything is ready, go ahead and build your SUSHI BOWL!
I love my sushi with soy sauce, so feel free to add that on before scarfing it down. Enjoy!
